Suspenders (known as braces here in the UK) are definitely the best.Try them and you won't go back to belts 😊

Suspenders for comfort, but I do like how a tight belt that cuts a bit into my waist looks in a pic. Kind of accentuates how fat I am, or even, as a friend put it, that I'm growing bigger.
