A few years back my work started later in the day which gave the opportunity to have a real breakfast every day. Daily bacon, eggs, toast , potatoes and pancakes with real lunches and dinners not including snacks broke through all plateaus and the weight just piled on.

Well the first thing that contributed to my weight gain was dating a chef, who cooked me amazing meals, and adored my growing body.
But now that we live in different cities, I still have managed to keep gaining. I think what helps the most is always having something to snack on nearby. I keep my fridge and pantry well stocked, and always have some sort of goodies around, in my car, in my desk drawer at work, etc.
