Foods that spike blood sugar and trigger high levels of insulin (i.e. refined sugars and processed carbohydrates). I never recommend going this route as it can lead to diabetes and other issues.

If I'm seriously gaining, I have 150g of peanuts and 2 litres of whole milk a day (that is around 2000 calories) in addition to what I normally eat. Soon packs on the pounds. Have tried heavy cream but I find it makes me very hot and sweaty at night.

I don't advise it, but adding alcohol is the greatest compounder because it shuts down your natural metabolism. chubby_bunny_160 gained nearly 50 lbs in one month by drinking cake shakes (ice cream, milk, cake mix, etc.). You can add gainer powder and heavy cream as well. Taste-wise, heavy cream milkshakes are the easiest to get down though.

Cream, full fat dairy, oils, nuts. Things high in calories, eaten in high quantities on a consistent basis will usually do the trick.
