Why limit yourself to one food? At least give youself a rotation, so when you get tired of one thing, the next helps you recover. I know I've said it before, but go for contrast. Savory vs. bland, spicy vs. cool, sweet vs. salty, dry vs. juicy, etc.

I would go with breakfast foods. A couple of reasons; easy to digest (pancakes, waffles and French toast), calorie dense (bacon, sausage, eggs) and tasty! Good luck, I have always wanted to do that too.
