Fat experiences

Struggles with self image

Hi folks, I just wanted to make a quick post about something I've been struggling with and I'd like some advice/encouragement or just shared experiences

I've always been a fat kid ever since I can remember, all the way to my earliest memories of school. It's honestly made life really difficult and I've tried multiple times to lose the weight only to still be unhappy.

That all being said I love how it looks on others and I still fantasise about gaining more myself, yet I still catch myself in the mirror and feel disappointed, frustrated or just generally tempted to go back to trying to lose the weight

Hoping some of yall have had similar feelings or good advice for dealing with these thoughts.

Much love ❤️

People can be such pieces of shit to children. And a lot of our deepest insecurities come from childhood. The good news is you can overcome it.

Understand that progress it not linear. You'll have your good and bad days. But, over time, you'll come to love what you see in the mirror more often than you hate it.

I always recommend therapy if it's an option. But whether it is or isn't, I also recommend practicing radical self-love. It's when you go out of your way to find things you like about yourself. It'll feel weird at first, but over time, it will start to feel more natural.

Thank you ❤️

I've been driving myself insane trying to deal with it. I've tried therapy but maybe it's time to get a lil radical with the self love
