-Your starter Pikachu and Eevee won't evolve, but they have greatly increased stats to make them around par with final evolutions, and they have unique moves of various types. They can also be customized with different haircuts and tweak their look. Wild Pikachu and Eevee are still available to capture.

-Your trainer can wear different outfits and your partner Pikachu/Eevee will wear the same outfit to match.

-Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle are still available to be given out by NPC trainers as they were in Yellow, and are also rarely available in the wild.

-It will also be possible to rematch Gym Leaders as well as the Elite 4 + Champion after beating the game, plus a couple of other familiar high level trainers related to Kanto will be available to fight. You will have to defeat at least 6 Master Trainers to get a certain one of these familiar trainers to appear at Indigo Plateau.

-Master Trainer battles are 1-on-1 battles where you have to conquer the other trainer using the same Pokemon as they use.

-Most Pokemon are caught Go-style, but with certain Pokemon like the legendary birds, you have 5 minutes to defeat them in a battle before it moves to the Go-capture screen.

-The EV system of boosting stats isn't available, but you can boost stats with Candy instead. Candy is obtained by releasing certain Pokemon, and you can also can get candy by capturing Pokemon as well as completing Play Yard mini-games in Pokemon Go Park.

-Pokemon abilities are unavailable in the game but they're still coded in (even for the new Pokemon listed below) so it seems those will still be available in the next Pokemon game in 2019.

-Mega Evolutions are available but they are all post-game except for Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise which are gotten after Cinnabar Gym.

-Alola Pokemon are also available via ingame trades. You have to trade a Kanto version of the same Pokemon for them - like a Grimer for an Alolan Grimer. You can repeat this trade as many times as you want to get multiples of an Alolan Pokemon.

Alolan Pokemon Trade Locations:
Alolan Rattata-Cerulean City
Alolan Geodude-Vermillion City
Alolan Diglett-Lavender Town
Alolan Sandshrew(p)/Vulpix(e)-Celadon City
Alolan Raichu-Saffron City
Alolan Marowak-Fuschia City
Alolan Grimer(p)/Meowth(e)-Cinnabar Island
Alolan Exeggutor-Indigo Plateau

-For a limited time, when you purchase a Poke Ball Plus, it comes with a Mew. This Mew is the only way you can get a Mew in the Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee games.

Meltan and its evolution Melmetal are the two new featured Mythical Pokemon of the game and are exclusive to those who have Pokemon Go. They are both Steel type. Meltan's ability is Magnet Pull and Melmetal's ability is Iron Fist. It's said they are made of liquid metal and can corrode & absorb metal as well.

To acquire Meltan, first you must transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, which will give you a Mystery Box. Open the Mystery Box to cause Meltan to start appearing in Go which you then can catch.

To evolve Meltan into Melmetal, it needs to be given 400 Meltan Candy in Pokemon Go. You can get Meltan Candy by catching or transferring Meltan, walking with Meltan as your buddy Pokemon, sending it to Pokemon Let's Go, and using Rare Candy. Melmetal also has the powerful exclusive Steel-type move Double Iron Bash.

I think it's a Yellow remake. I'm hoping it might get some DLC, maybe Gen2

Yeah it is, it's got the same Team Rocket from Pokemon Yellow who show up regularly as well. They aren't like they are on the show but they are like they were in Yellow. There might be DLC but at the same time they might also make a Let's Go version of Gold/Silver and onwards:

I'm curious, has anyone here played any of the fan-made hacks of the games? I really enjoyed a couple of them and the random surprises they throw at you lol smiley

Was it good? Do you recommend it?

I enjoyed it. I liked the challenge in some of the gym battles, though some of them were a bit overpowered. Plenty of the dialogue and other details were amusing too.

They just revealed the new Pokemon stuff for Gen 8! Pokemon Sword & Shield versions.

Starters are a Grass Monkey (Grookey) Fire Bunny (Scorbunny), and Water Chameleon (Sobble).

The region is based off the UK and it looks gorgeous and even much better than LGPE.

Clicking on the 'Pokemon Direct' image below will lead you to the video of the reveal:

For anyone who saw it, there was an apparent short vid of a new peanut bug pokemon floating around but it was fake. An impressive fake though. Guy goes into the steps of how he made it.

There's a new apparent leak from Pokemon Go about Armored Mewtwo being a new form for Mewtwo.

New Pokemon Direct for the games, click on the image below to watch:

The new legendaries are Zacian and Zamazenta. Some people noted that it looks like their names literally mean 'the cyan' and 'the magenta' which fit the version colour scheme too. They might be Steel/Water and Steel/Fire especially in the quick part where they glow in the trailer, the hilt of Zacian's blade gets a fish tail and Zamazenta's shield gets a heat aura.

The new gimmick in the games is Dynamax, which turns one of your Pokemon into a giant for 3 turns in battle, which also appears to boost all of their stats. All battles against Gym Leaders seem to be with both Pokemon in a Dynamax/giant form, and all Gym Battles are in stadiums. Dynamaxing is restricted to certain areas like Gym Battles and Raid Battles and presumably features in multiplayer.

Some wild Pokemon appear in giant form and you can take them on in a raid battle similar to Pokemon Go with up to 3 other players when connected online. Some Pokemon can only be caught with this method, and only one of the group can use their own giant Pokemon against them if they choose to use one.

There is a vast area between towns known as the 'Wild Area' which has free camera control. The Pokemon in this area can change depending on things such as the weather and location. Giant/Dynamax Pokemon can appear in these places for raids. For example, Steenee can be encountered when it is sunny and Lanturn when it is raining.

Professor Magnolia is researching Dynamaxing, and is assisted by her granddaughter Sonia.

Leon is the Champion, he appears to have a Charizard. He is undefeated and is quite popular. He's a childhood friend of Sonia.

Hop is one of your rivals and is Leon's brother.

Gossifleur (Grass), Wooloo (Normal) and Drednaw (Water/Rock) are some new Pokemon.

Corviknight (Flying/Steel) is another new Pokemon, and also acts as the new Fly ride Pokemon for this game which can take you to towns you have already visited.

Eldegoss (Grass) evolves from Gossifleur. Their Cotton Down ability lowers speed of whoever attacks them when struck.

Milo is the Grass-type Gym Leader for the Galar region, who uses a giant Eldegoss in battle.

You now have a Rotom Phone which also contains your Pokedex. You can also do other things with your Rotom Phone like attaching it to your bike to make it move faster on land, or use it to help you travel over water.

The official release date is November 15.
