Hi, my gf told me that she recently noticed her inner elbows skin (the part that folds) was getting a little dark. Her last weight measurement is 220 lbs, but she's not active gaining, just enjoing food. I looked on google and the darkness in her skin seems like Acanthosis nigricans and I'm getting worried about her health, considering that she has told me sometimes she was sometimes very thirsty.

Those symptoms could be a reason for thinking that she alredy have diabetes?
What do you think?

Have her see a doctor. Don't try to diagnose her online

acanthosis nigricans... I'm not 100% sure but that could mean that your GF has insuline resistance.
the best thing that you can do is to go to the doctor just to be sure.

Arcanthos is commen in the arm pits, and a clinical marker for a malign disease. Never heard that it is linked to DM
But an appointment with your Dr. Is a fine idea
