There is a newer one intended to be an uncensored social site. You have to be willing to tolerate alternative (some maybe not so nice) views.

It is just starting up. I think it has started over censorship and personal data privacy issues on the major social networks.

I have not investigated in really, but there you go!

There's a bunch of discord servers where people have created channels in. A few of them are public and if you briefly log back into Tumblr, I'm sure that someone has posted a link to them somewhere if you do a quick search.

I am not so sure. It is definately based in the USA, but so is facebook, and so are the others. If a wide range of people join it will probably be great. It is a social media.

Personally, I believe that having a wide range of people from all around the world join is best. It is not good when you have echo chambers where you only talk to people from the same place as you, with the same politics as you, etc.
