I’m only 7lbs up. But my clothes now are just beginning to not be able to hide my pudge. Even my baggy flannels and hoodies outline my stomach. And jeans are getting to the point where when I go to button them, they don’t even come close to meeting and I have to suck in and dip to slip them on. My work uniforms are really snug and now are stretching the buttons a little. As for fitness. I played a soccer tournament and noticed my sprint speed is way down, lost a lot of balls and challenges. But I might have slipped a miniscus or something so I’m out for a while. Oh boy.

I think I really started noticing once my weight was in the “overweight” BMI range... but that might have been a result of the number.

Another phenomenon that people note is “becoming softer”—which I’m pretty sure is fat redistribution. You might gain an initial amount of obvious visceral fat that then redistributes to subcutaneous fat around your body over time. My gut was actually larger when I was lighter.
