Ah, Thanksgiving!!! What's not to love? Last year, I challenged myself to my most hardcore stuffing ever, and I hit 90,000 calories over 2 days. I also gained a good bit of weight and was bloated for about a week. Since I'm getting married December 7th, I couldn't repeat that, but I did give myself a cheat day. I didn't stuff, but I did eat as much as I wanted. Yesterday morning, I was 576.2 on the scale. Today I'm 587.6, and I know a lot of that is food weight, but I'm definitely enjoying the residual fullness of my belly.
The list:
- 1 dinner plate full of mac and cheese
- 1 dinner plate full of stuffing
- 2 servings of cranberry mandarin relish
- 1 serving of broccoli casserole
- 2 servings (maybe a pound?) of turkey
- 1 serving of wild mushroom rice
- 3 servings of whipped sweet potatoes
- 5 or 6 buttered rolls
- 2 cheddar biscuits
- 2 pieces of apple pie
- 1 piece of cherry pie
- 4 cinnamon cookies
- Snacks from a cheese and charcuterie platter
- 2 glasses of wine
- Lots of sweet tea
Of course, the side effect is ravenous hunger this morning. I had a small breakfast, and now I'm drinking hot tea to stave off all the cravings! Otherwise, I'll be busting out of my wedding dress.
