your metabolism is a weird thing it slowly slows down till your 30 and then it slows quite soon after then progressively slows further, also the amount of exercise sleep and water you have is a factor too. just overload yourself with calories and one good thing to do is drink double cream, you say your eating 3000 calories per day which is good, according to google its 3500 calories per lb so you eating 500 calories over your daily calorie goal is good but with your metabolism it could be a good idea to double or more to 3500 - 4500 just to really over load yourself. Your metabolism can only take so much and it wont know what to do with 4500 cals

That does help thank you! I think I'm just underestimating my maintenance calories since I work in a fairly physical profession lol.

what sort of industry do you work in if you dont mind me asking? dont have to be specific e.g tesco primark lidl aldi i mean like hotel industry warehouse operative? just to give some sort of an idea on the amount of calories your burning maybe id be able to help more
