Update: I bought a bike from WalMart. Aside from the seat, it was fine today while I tried to learn to ride.

Thank you! I'm in the middle of nowhere so bike share isn't an option but I'll keep everything else in mind

Shocking disclaimer: I never learned how to ride a bike. Now that I'm olderish and working on my cardio a lot more, I want to learn how to ride. The only problem is that I'm like 330lbs, and most bikes don't seem to be made for weight like this. Does anyone have any suggestions on a style of bike that won't break my poor college student budget?

I'm almost willing to date Canadians at this point.
