ruby, i will listen /when/ i get a direct request from hiccupx as the only person who has answered anything on here without trying to fob people off is wannabe,
*membership, further to that /what/ is the deficit between income and outcome? /is/ ff a company registered with companies house....
ruby, nothing has been explained,/what/ is the limit, /where/ was the original announcement /when/ will more changes be implemented and /what/ new features will be coming out to justify paying for mem
anain' and 'if i do pay, whats to stop him creating /another/ membership that costs more and have some of the things i can do removed
ruby: and i agree with you, he can not be expected to shoulder all of the cost, and at one point i /was/ a gold member, but since then all i have thought about is 'will he put the prices up - agai
ruby: and this is a converstion amongst members of the site that hiccupx runs, so unless you want him to be CC'd in via email to every comment that we are making and discussing....
however this brings me back to my point of the usual business plan for starting to charge for access to a website is you make /new/ things, not remove old
the largest bandwidth would be by multimedia, so video followed by pictures...having said that pictures are accessed more often so its likely they are first
ruby: give it a break please, i was only originally asking questions, before then putting my point across, not complaining
is you add new features, not remove old ones, as that will annoy your fanbase and you may end up /losing/ money
mallard80, oh trust me i know it isnt i have run my own sites before as well as hosting, but if you want to charge people for things the general rule....
softly: no kidding, i can understand a site needs money (trust me, i've run/written a few in my time) but taking existing stuff away and then charging for it is a new low......
