chapter 2: redo

Jenna ended up playing games all night; passing out while spread out across her sofa. Her TV was still on, slightly dimmed due to her inactivity in the game she had played. She groggily sat up to find her remotes to turn off her game and tv, followed by taking a glance at her phone.

She snapped out of her drowsiness to see she had been bombarded with notifications from the fetish site she submitted her clip to.

“Holy shit” She whispered to herself as she scrolled through her messages. There were nearly a hundred messages, definitely several hundred reactions, and a few dozen people subscribing to her. She had set her sub fee to $5, and… she counted 33 people had subbed to her in that time. She would get half of the earnings a month, so… she counted in her head. $82.50 for just that one video.

“Why didn’t I think of this sooner?!” still in shock.

Any new subscribers she gained would automatically be entered into her account balance, which she could then choose to withdraw from immediately or wait until it accrued more.

She withdrew immediately.

“Hell yea!” She murmured aloud. “I should make another one!”

She sat for several hours; reading through some of the messages sent to her. A majority of the messages were creepy or flat out rude; so much so that she almost stopped reading. Further reading, however, showed that there were some genuinely good feedback; albeit few and far between. After reading through some comments, she realized they followed a similar formula.

After a while, she realized she was starving.

“Well, this is beneficial!” She thought to herself.

Jenna scrolled through her choices again, except this time she could order whatever she wanted. She didn’t feel very satisfied with yesterday's meal, so the hunger was really starting to hit her. Suddenly, an idea snapped into her head, made her order, and waited patiently for her food to arrive.

After browsing more messages and comments for a while, her buzzer rang to notify her that the food was here. She smiled and practically jumped to the door to buzz the delivery man into her apartment complex. She opened her door preemptively to see the delivery man walking up the stairs towards her. He took notice as she hung out from her door.

“Hey, I delivered to you yesterday!” He said in a pleasant tone.

“You did?” She awkwardly chuckled out. “I didn’t really notice, I had a bad day yesterday.”

“Hopefully better today?” He asked genuinely.

“Much better actually!” She smiled with a slight tilt of surprise that someone cared to ask.

“Good! You’ve already paid in the app, so here you go!” He handed over the much larger bag of food to Jenna.

“Thank you so much!” Jenna responded joyfully.

“You’re welcome! Take care!”

Jenna closed her door and began to set up her cellphone camera in a very similar fashion to yesterday's recording. After fiddling with the thing for a few minutes, she finally got an angle she was comfortable with, set the bag of food beside her, and pushed the button to record.

“Hey, it’s MukbangForYourBuck!” She started. “Thank you so much for the feedback! I’m still new to all of this, so sorry if this sucks!”

She pulled out a double baconator from the bag, and displayed it in front of the camera.

“I figured yesterday’s meal was kind of dinky, so I thought I’d do a redo and order a bigger meal with your donations!” She stated. “I got a double baconator, a large fry, a 4 piece nugget, a large coke, and a bacon cheese baked potato!” She paused for a moment.

“Which… might be more than I can handle, but I got excited!” She giggled with a slight bit of exaggeration for a little more entertainment value.

With that, she began to eat; starting with her fries, which she was dipping in ranch. She was so giddy to practically be eating for free, so she enjoyed every bite. She made cute little noises here and there; knowing that her new audience liked that kind of thing, and continued to go through her food.

She ate her fries rather quickly, followed by downing her burger, then slowly finishing off the last of her nuggets.

“Ok, so… this is getting kind of hard.” letting out a slight giggle that was overcome by a heavy breath outwards. “I’m gonna try to finish this though since I’ve already kinda committed to it.”

She took a little fork out of the Wendy’s bag and unwrapped its plastic packaging to start digging into her potato. “Here goes!” She took a big chunk of the potato and took a big bite, chewing for a long time to let her stomach process that she was eating better than she’s had in years. One swallow after another, she finished her potato, as well as the last of her coke that she had been drinking throughout the meal. She breathed and moaned heavily for a minute before giving herself a chance to speak up.

“Thanks again for your support! I guess if I keep getting paid, I’ll keep doing this, so uh… subscribe? Or donate? I think you can do that here? Anyway, have a good night! MukbangForYourBuck, out!”

She turned off her camera, slightly cringing at her closing statement.

“Whatever, they don’t care about that” She quickly reassured herself.

She fell back and let her tiny gut recover from all the food she threw at it. It was great to eat that good again. Well, maybe it didn’t feel THAT good, as she continued to rub her stomach as she was in quite a bit of pain. The rubbing did help, though.

She let the video process, then hit submit to upload it to the fetish site. Within minutes, she was already getting new comments and messages.

“OHMYGOD THIS IS AMAIZNG MOREMOREMORE!” one read.

“You’re not a one hit wonder! Thank GOD! More please!” Another read.

She read through them, and within ten minutes she was awarded another subscriber. And then another. The views were growing like crazy! The positive feedback she was receiving helped her ignore the pain in her gut. She was already making more than anywhere else she’d ever worked, and she was literally doing nothing; in terms of work, that is.

She spent the rest of her day going between reading her messages online to playing games. Back and forth, back and forth, until her eyes grew heavy, and she fell asleep.

The next day would be even better.
