We've relaxed the site rules in that we now allow links to pay sites and wish lists on profiles. Links to pay sites are allowed in the context of 'this is what I do' which may be interesting to people reading their profile. Wish lists are allowed because it's recognised that some feeders like to buy gifts and spoil their feedees. However the site is still for non commercial use only and this hasn't changed. The rules you quote above have recently been updated to reflect this and are not old.

So the "no exchange of money" still applies, but sending items, or food is permitted.
And all of that is supposed to be limited to profiles and private messages.
So, a shout message that says "I only want to hear from real feeders who will send me money" followed by many more messages saying "real feeders message me" or "where are the real feeders at" would not be acceptable if I understand correctly?

Whereas, getting to know someone to the point of exchanging messages or individual chat and raising the issue of sending food (for example) is perfectly fine. right?

Indeed although some shouts can slip through. please bear in mind the moderators are all volunteers and I can assure you they work tirelessly to try and keep this website a safe space for everyone. We welcome and encourage help for all users so if you see any dubious messages or have doubts about people please use the report (flag) features to highlight them up.

There does seem to be a misunderstanding among some folks about how far the rules were relaxed. Some believe that it now allows asking for money in general, and on the shout page in particular. Hopefully I am not the only one who now understands the rule better.

I find it interesting that someone would send me a personal message, and block me before I have the opportunity to read it. Obviously a conversation was not desired. Kinda the online equivalent of calling someone on the phone, calling them names, and hanging up.
Not asking for, or expecting any action. Just seems childish.

Everyone can certainly do as they please. I get the "feeding" thing VERY well.
I am finding it to be a thin line from panhandling when feedee asks, not for food but for cash. And she does not want the money sent via paypal, but via "other services" that primarily act as cut outs. You would think it was Russian hackers getting paid to give you your data back.
So is the money for feeding, or is it just online begging?
In any case, perhaps the site rules HAVE changed and my issues are mine alone. I will say it is pretty disturbing to log on and see 3, 4, 5, shouts over the course of the day from the same woman, word for word they say, asking "where are the online feeders", or whatever the line is for that day. When you get a few women doing this, it begins to look like a large percentage of the shouts are begging for money.
Hopefully, this has gotten this out of my system, I will try not to bring this up again. If it keeps on heading toward being mostly an online begging site, I will just move on.

I have to imagine some of it is about protecting personal information. I'm sure there really are people who mislead others, because this IS the internet, but on the other hand, there are probably a lot of people doing their best to stay safe.
While I would love to have someone send me a pizza (or two), record myself eating, and send the video back to them...I can't think of a good way to make that happen without giving out my address out to strangers on the internet. I mean, to be perfectly honest, I'd be all in anyway because it's PIZZA, but I also know that it's not a great life choice. It's not one I'd encourage others to make.
...dammit, now I'm hungry. :/ that's the problem with hypothetical pizza.

Star, you are correct in that I did not know about the paypal issues you described.
