More calories in than calories out really. Could focus on foods/ drinks with higher calorie counts like Ensure plus. Maybe loook into one of those fitness apps and see how many calories you burn in a day, and then adjust your activities/ diet accordingly.

Diet drinks mess with your metabolism. The body prepares for sugar because of the sweetness. But there are no calories so it craves what it's not got. This is why diet drinks are so fattening.

I’d also add that it’s important to focus on quality calories too — healthy fats, proteins, and complex carbs can make gaining or maintaining weight much more sustainable. And yeah, using a fitness or nutrition app can be a real eye-opener for understanding your daily balance.
