Are beans typical for an english breakfast? They look like what we called Black eyed peas. Beans for breakfast sounds good to me, I'm not a fan of breakfast meats or really eggs for that matter.
I don't know how typical it is but a lot of hispanics eat beans for breakfast, probally because they have them at ever meal, as asians might rice. I ocasionally work at a site where they have mexicans doing the catering, and I allways ask for beans- They have to nuke them, but they always keep them arround for themselves, and they are really well seasoned.
I had the same general reaction to that picture, quantity over quality.
Count me in on the soft drinks for breakfast side, but it would be diet.
