Adjusting to a larger, heavier size

I've been lucky enough to gain 60 pounds over the past year (356 in March 2020, 418 now), but I've really felt the last 10 in my knees. I'm trying to adjust my activity as a result, but don't know where to start. How have y'all adjusted to your growth?

Amazon has a grabber and bariatric cane as both have helped me put less pressure on my knees. The grabber is good, avoid bending or going to the floor, if the aches are too great.

Don't think I'm at the point where a bariatric cane is needed (yet), but I've been using a grabber for a few years and it's life changing!
