Had trouble deciding whether to post this here in Gaining, or over in Food and recipes, Lifestyle, or General.

New Research Claims Olive Oil Drives Obesity to Greater Extent Than Other Fats

Warning: source of this article is fat-negative, so expect the usual focus on fat being a Horrible Thing to Avoid in the tone and word choice. Adjust mental filters accordingly.

Haven’t made the time to read the original study nor check any of the other references, and prolly won’t. I’ve not personally experienced noticeable fattening effects from generous consumption of olive oil, but then my body is stacked against fattening in many ways on many levels.

Anyone here ever noticed a fattening effect attributable to olive oil? Hope there’s something to it… really like the idea of something else relatively healthy really cranking up generation of new fat cells.

Rather interesting, given that olive oil is considered a much healthier option for cooking with, versus other high smoke-point oils. We use it extensively at the house.

Body hair/hairy bellies, hot or not?

My wife has a little bit of hair below her belly button, way down low on her luscious double belly :-) I have to admit it’s a turn-on in addition to her lovely figure!

So I’m extremely new to this scene and I was curious about all the different kinks involved and the basic break downs of what they are? Also just looking for fun people to chat with

Is yoga a good way to stay healthy or should the gym be a priority?

BurgerQueen:
I do yoga and aqua aerobics once a week and it makes me feel better to get my body moving. Aqua aerobics is just fun where I go so it doesn’t really feel like exercise and yoga is really good for maintaining flexiblility and stretching. I avoid cardio as much as possible, but I do lift from time to time lol

Awesome to hear on the aqua :-) My wife can swim like a fish for as big as she is and loves it. I sink like a fork and can’t swim too well, ha.

Biggest “fat moment” you’ve had in public? 😳🍑

Sweetfattie:
Realizing that I just couldn't squeeze into a certain restaurant's booths anymore. It was actually painful. I had to ask the server for a table.

I have just a ball belly; not exactly “huge” but I don’t care much for booths, either. The back cushions are too straight-up for my back. My wife being a lovely 330-ish pounds usually clinches our decision to ask for or just grab a regular table 😊

OhHey:
Sometimes this kink is overwhelming in the sense I get such strong urges to stuff and gain weight it drives me crazy.

I mostly suppres the kinky side of me for civility reasons but I haven't had the chance to really live this side of myself in person with someone and just let go.

I'd really love that though. Just indulging with someone who understands it and is happy when you gain weight as opposed to violently hating it like the rest of society. Must be nice. It's such a dream. Until then...

It is indeed more fun to have an encouraging partner in food. Seems to make the weight come on faster 👍

Why are you fat?

Sweetfattie:
Puberty and psych meds hit me HARD with the fat stick. Given that this was the 90s and heroin chic was the in thing, this kicked off years of yo-yo dieting. Which, of course, made me fatter in the long term. Eventually I discovered the old Dimensions forums and gained the confidence to stop dieting. I gradually got fatter and fatter just eating what I liked, until I was full.

These days I'm not making an effort to gain for financial reasons. Stuffing is something I save for special occasions, and I try to eat a balanced diet to stave off the family diabetes. My weight has settled at about 340 lbs, +/- 10. Some bodies just want to be fat.

Well-said and all the best on your plan! 👍
