Shower wands or detachable shower heads are key for washing under the belly hang! It’s difficult to maneuver the spray from a regular shower head under there. And keeping your rolls and folds clean and dry is vital to avoid skin infections. I make sure to wash, dry, and powder those areas every day.

Body powder is super cheap and easy to make at home, too. That way you can make it any scent you want!

What is it about seeing a body growing large and soft?

Gastonitza:
Firstly, I hope you are well and have had pleasant and restful holiday period. Yes, I get pretty hacked off at the way society insists on conformity with narrow views on what is acceptable in terms of body size and shape. People can be hurtfully judgemental and pious about other people's choices if those choices don't agree with their preconceived ideals. It feels like they believe you to be stupid or flawed if you feel happy being fat, or worse, think you just need help to see your faults and come around to their ideals.
All we see on TV, magazines and Internet sites is the "perfect" people, often young and thin, being all happy and fulfilled. Beauty comes from within, and it can come in all shapes and sizes. Larger people should be included and also shown to be successful and happy. If being fat or getting fatter brings joy into your life, then I say, go for it and don't let the bastards wear you down. I wish you happiness and joy, especially at this special time of year.

I’ve had a lovely Christmas, thank you! Everything tastes so good and I’m so stuffed. The cookies are too tempting though so I keep nibbling. I’ve already gained a fair amount of weight this holiday season, here’s hoping I add a few more pounds! My nice Christmas top is definitely a bit snug around my belly and hips this year.

I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday too!

Christmas gains before and after!

The holiday season has been good to me so far! I just weighed in at 340.6 lbs, up 15.6 lbs since I last weighed myself in October. (Batteries in the scale ran out and I kept forgetting to buy more. smiley The joys of end-of-semester craziness.) Can't really see that kind of gain on me with as fat as I already am, though.

What is it about seeing a body growing large and soft?

Gastonitza:
I think that's it. The sort-of secret pleasure in physically growing in size. There is so little in the world that we can really change or influence, but we have the ultimate power over our own bodies, or over a willing partner who wishes to experience weight gain. The thrill you get from seeing the scale read just one more pound in the positive, is worth all the risks and nagging you get from "normal" life.

Taking control of my body is one of the main reasons why I enjoy being fat. Being disabled, there are a lot of things out of my control, but this is one thing that I can control. I choose to reject society's pressure to be thin at any and all costs. I choose to indulge in the pleasures of whatever food I want and can afford, in whatever quantity it takes to fill my fat belly.

And honestly, the taboo is part of the appeal. I got into this knowing damn well what mainstream society thinks of fat women. Every pound gained is another middle finger to everyone who thinks they can tell me how to live my life. Being fat and happy is an act of rebellion.

Daily "i'm fat" reminders

I wrapped Christmas presents for a couple hours today, standing up at the table as you do. I can never reach to wrap larger presents if I sit down. My poor feet are KILLING me now! I used to be able to stand on a hard floor for much longer before my feet started hurting.

Maybe I’ll sit down to wrap small presents next year.

The fat rolls are forming... again.

SSBBW Summer:
I've been eating so much cheese I can literally feel more fat rolls coming through onto other fat rolls. Glorious cheese. 🙊

Cheese is LIFE. Wonderful, delicious cheese! Manchego, aged cheddar, Gruyère, Gouda, goat cheese, I love them all.

What are your favorite xmas foods??

MsSquish:
We always make these peanut butter/butterscotch squares with mini marshmallows. It's a good thing we only make them once a year, lol. And of course frosted Christmas cookies. Then being Canadian, we have gooey butter tarts and Nanaimo bars.

Peanut butter and butterscotch? :O Would you be willing to share the recipe?

What are your favorite xmas foods??

EVERYTHING. Glazed ham with pineapple and cherries, hot German potato salad, stollen, roasted Brussels sprouts with a ton of garlic, eggnog, hot spiced cider, hot chocolate with peppermint marshmallows…

But most of all I love the cookies! I always bake a ton of Christmas cookies for gifts and for eating. Double and triple batches of everything. Between me and my mom, we made eleven different kinds of cookies this year. All of them are, of course, delicious.

Karenjenk: finally, i can feel all of this flesh shift when i reposition myself. sitting... standing... laying. its a part of me but it feels like its not part of me

Give it time. Eventually your fat will feel like an integral part of you. Way back during my extreme dieting and self-hatred phase, part of what made it so hard was that I didn't feel like myself when I was a "normal" weight. Not having the thick layer of soft flab that I was used to was disconcerting and uncomfortable. These days I can't even imagine not having a belly big enough to rest my hands on, or not feeling my double chin crease when I move my head.

What is something that you’ve done to accommodate your growing lifestyle?

Angelgluttony:
Man oh man! I wish the site had a bookmark feature because I definitely found some useful tips here. I like that, in addition to the Shoe ordeal.. in my personal experience my shoe hasn’t gone up in size, however I’ve always noticed that when I’d put on extra weight (enough to cause a impact on my shoes) my shoes will begin to start to lean to the side and it was more than obvious that my feet had gotten fatter and wider, but never grew in length. I’ve bought shoes specifically for wider feet but it was always a fail. so I’ve switched to wearing sandals, flip-flops and bedroom shoes on a regular basis, but I do want something that would actually support my and bedroom shoes on a regular basis, but I do want something that would actually support my feet while wearing them. She was really helped with my mobility and having a good firm grip on that as much needed, and I’d like to improve it. Any suggestions?

I wear a women’s 11W and have since I was a teenager. Give up on the idea of cheap shoes. Shoes that fit wide feet comfortably and provide enough support for our heavy bodies are expensive. I’ve had good luck with SAS, they specialize in hard to find sizes and everything I’ve bought from them has excellent support. It’s possible that you might be a double wide, and SAS is one of the few companies that makes those. For more rugged footwear, Merrell is a good option, my snow boots are Merrells. (I did have to buy men’s, but that’s not such a big deal for snow boots.)

If possible, shop for shoes in person where they have knowledgeable salespeople who can fit you properly. A good shoe salesperson will be able to direct you toward a shoe that will meet your needs.
