Grow for me?

chapter 4

The days went on with nothing eventful happening. After that one day of overeating, my appetite suddenly dropped. I ate like I normally and didn't have any need or desire to fill my stomach. But, I felt like I was missing something.
Everyday was just kind of boring. I would wake up at an unreasonable time, eat breakfast, play video games or read, eat lunch, nap, watch TV, eat dinner, play video games, then go to bed at an unreasonable time. Nothing changed besides I heard from Kyla that the two guys were sentenced to 15 years each for attempted murder/rape. I thought that was pushing the boundaries a bit, but wasn't really sad to see them go.

I sat there, munching on some chips and watching TV when I felt a buzzing on my butt. I checked to see what it was, and apparently Kyla wanted to hang out at my place. My parents had left on a trip to Hawaii that my Dad's business was funding, so I had the house to myself. I was debating saying no, just to resume my peaceful silence, but decided to invite her over.
I returned to watching TV and eating my munchies only to notice the chips had disappeared. Well, the bag was still there, but my chips were gone. I decided to go get some more from the pantry, which I found void of any appetizing snacks. The fridge and freezer followed this pattern of mucnhiless chaos. Guess it was time to go to the store.
My parents had left me with a debit card connected to their bank account and told me to use it for food and other necessities. I drove over to the nearest supermarket and began my hunt for said necessity. I figured since Kyla was coming over tonight, I better by some special snacks, aka cheesecake, cookies, brownies, and other bakery goods. I made sure to buy a bunch so there would be leftovers for future snacks. I also bought microwavable stuff, as I had no idea how to cook, and a bunch of 2 liter bottles, also stocking up for the next few days. The stuff I bought wasn't exactly the healthiest, but eh, I'd live.
I got home at the exact same time Kyla arrived.
"Hey Sky! Need some help with that?" she asks as she picks up a few bags.
"Thanks." I walk inside and set everything on the kitchen counter, not really bothering to put any of it away.
"You ready for a night of pure entertainment and kick backiness!?!?" asked Kyla in a over hype voice. I stare at her blankly as she does a stupid pose that you would see a musical performer do when talking to the crowd.
"Really?" I ask
"What? Gonna critic a girl for trying to get in the mood?" I had to laugh at that one.
