Nagging doesn’t help

chapter 12, final chapter

The next year went by in a blur. Rob and Mary lived life with abandon. They never turned down seconds, or thirds. They never turned down dessert. Or a second dessert. And they steadily grew. Mary's growth showed all over. Her boobs became great pendulous orbs, swinging free when she would walk naked around their apartment. Under her boobs, her body spread out, with thick fat pockets on her sides, and a round bulging belly in front of her. Then came her hips, wide and sturdy. Her butt stuck out behind her, a huge jiggling mass. As they approached Thanksgiving week, she weighed a luscious 260 pounds.

Rob grew a massive belly. Of course he had big, full love handles, and a respectably sized butt, but his belly was a monument to gluttony. At 290 pounds, he was a big, big man. His belly stuck way out in front of him, then sagged over his belt, a hefty mass that swung as he walked.

And they both loved being so big, so fat. Their friends viewed them with a mixture of reactions. Some never got over the shock of their two slender friends growing huge seemingly overnight, and just couldn't bring themselves to see anything positive in them. Others were more philosophical. They didn't understand anyone letting themselves get so very fat, but Mary and Rob were so obviously happy that there was no other choice but just to accept them and their new lifestyle. There were a few that went beyond acceptance. Mary and Rob's love of getting fat was infectious. Not to all their friends of course, but several fell into step with them when it came to eating. It showed when they got together at one of their sports bar and grill pubs. When Mary and Rob ordered appetizers, their friends ordered appetizers. Mary and Rob ordered big, calorie laden meals, they followed suit. When the waitress asked about dessert, she ended up bringing every kind of dessert the pub offered. At least one of each. When a favorite was found, seconds and sometimes thirds were in order.

None of their friends matched the growth that Mary and Rob had enjoyed, but there was a lot of growth. Some minor ten or fifteen pound gains. A few thirty or forty pound gains. And a couple of sixty or seventy pound gains.

On a Friday night, Mary and Rob were at their favorite pub. For once, it was just the two of them. Rob was drinking an IPA, Mary was having a Belgium Wheat. Between them was the remains of a platter of nachos, which would be gone by the time their burgers arrived. Then the only decision would be what to have for dessert. And whether to have a second dessert.

"It's been a great year, lover," Mary purred, as she licked melted cheese from her fingers.

Rob leaned back and patted his enormous belly. "It sure has, babe. None of this was here a year ago."

"I'm happy. Are you happy?" Mary asked, taking the last nacho.

"I'm happier than I ever thought I could be. I didn't realize what a judgmental bastard I was. Now that I've got this," he said grabbing a handful of lard, "I know that everybody has their own way to live, their own way to be happy."

"So now what, lover? Where do we go from here?"

"I don't know about we, but I think you're going to have a boyfriend in the 300's before long," Rob answered, patting his huge, round belly.

"I'm not far behind you, lover," Mary said with a grin, patting her own fat belly. "The way we're living, it's not a question of whether I break 300, but when." As if to emphasize the point, she reached under her belly and unbuttoned her jeans, giving her fat more room. "But when I asked where we go from here, I was asking about you and me."

"First things first, let's get the waitress to bring the dessert menu. And then..."

"And then what, lover?"

"Well, if you think that this is more than a fling," he said with a grin and twinkle in his eyes, "how about we get married?"

Mary's face broke into a big grin, pushing up her chubby cheeks. "I'd love to marry you, lover. But I have to warn you about marriage."

"Warn me about what, babe?"

"Well, I've heard that sometimes women gain some weight after marriage. I mean, fair warning."

"I'm counting on it, babe. Now, where's that waitress? We need to celebrate! I'm thinking bourbon cake and champagne!"
