Chapter 2 - what happened?

"Hey Katie, ummm, we need to chat."

Katie turned off the vacuum and came to sit by him. He noticed that she walked a little different, Probably because her legs were so fat. Wrapped in her extremely tight yoga pants, he could see exactly how fat those legs were.

When she joined him on the couch, her new little paunch was on full display. He guessed it eclipsed the top of her pants by at least two inches, but the fat was so fresh on her body that it had not started to give into gravity. It just stuck straight out in front of her, almost like she was in the early stages of pregnancy. Katie had always maintained a good tan, but even her copper skin couldn't hide the stretch marks that covered her gut like roads on an old map.

Sitting down just made her thighs look bigger too. They sprawled out to the sides and looked twice as big as they did before. Even her ass seemed to spread out and take up a lot more room than it did before.

Were those love handles peeking out of her pants? Ed got closer to look at her exposed flesh and decided that they must be love handles. His girlfriend was fat enough to have love handles. That was unacceptable. Hell, even her arms looked bigger. No wonder she was wearing a tank top, they would probably rip the arm holes of any normal shirt!

"Katie, when did you you, uh, get so... fat?" He couldn't think of a more elegant want to put it.

"What?"

"You clearly gained a lot of weight. When? Why? I don't get it."

Katie's face got red with humiliation. She assumed he wouldn't notice her rapid weight gain since he didn't seem to notice anything she did. She dyed her hair last week, he didn't even notice that. But she accidentally gains a couple pounds and he see that right away?

"I'm going to lose it! I've been working out and eating less!" This wasn't true, but seemed like the right thing to say. She had actually been eating more- a lot more. But she really did plan to curb that, if she could get herself to stop stuffing her face. Again, she vowed to stop her binging tomorrow.
