Chapter 2 - realization

Everyone was staring. It was impossible to look away. What happened to this young man? His lawyer seemed shocked when they walked in- he was so much fatter than even their last visit to his office.

Zach knew to walk carefully. He also didn't really have a choice- his fattened form was starting to make everything laborious. He could feel himself sweating now. And he could feel that sweat making his clothes every clingier than before.

Lena was mortified. Her boyfriend was drenched in sweat, popping out of clothes, and kind of waddling. In front of everyone! He looked so ridiculous, like something on one of those TV shows about fat people. She started to feel angry.. why did he let himself go like this? Why did she have to be seen in public with him? He was a fat slob. She felt like it wasn't fair.

Zachs mother arrived and silently slipped into the bench beside Lena. She looked alarmed as she watched her son trying to sit down without ruining his fragile shirt. It was a spectacule. More than anything she was concerned. Obviously something had to be wrong.

"Lena, how are things at home? Is zach ok?"

Lena was still feeling angry and it was obvious. "No! Actually they aren't, he is eating me out of house and home! I never even get a chance to eat most of my groceries!"

Zachs mother couldn't help but laugh. "Well obviously you get to some of them!" She wasn't trying to be rude, but the statement had stricken her as funny.

Lena was confused. "What does that mean?"

Zachs mom poked her in the stomach. When Lena looked down she was shocked. How has she not noticed this roll of blubber above her dress pants? Or her spreading thighs? Chubby ass?

But worst of all, she had a gut.

She had been so obsessed with his weight gain she didn't even notice that she let herself pile on a significant amount of weight.

As she tried to tuck her jiggly mound into her pants she realized she should be embarrassed for herself now. Maybe it wasn't impossible to accidentally get that fat. Or maybe Zach had been helping the whole time..
