chapter 3

Sam walked past Zac in only a pair of shorts without a top. Sam had definitely put on a bit of flab, his smaller frame didn't hide the weight well, his ripped stomach has softened completely though wasn't pooching out yet. His chest and sides had lost definition and his back muscles were gone. He still looked narrow and reasonably in shape but nothing on his old shape. Zac considered making a comment but he figured he wasn't exactly in a position to as he looked at his stomach bulging against his tight shirt. He grimaced and placed a hand on his stomach, ever soft. He really needed to diet.
Over the next few weeks Zac truly tried his best to control his eating, he would do alright but then slip up and binge, overall though he had managed to slow down his weight gain. Sam on the other hand had no such plans, constantly binging both with Zac and by himself. Zac had probably only gained a pound or maybe two leaving him about 32 pounds gained, nearly at 190 pounds. Sam had really packed on some weight, his lean waist was starting to bulge out and his stick thin legs had thickened slightly. Zac walked in on Sam struggling with a pair of skinny jeans to get the button done up. His softer middle was being sucked in hard and his pecs jiggled as moved to get them done. Sam looked up tried to laugh it off saying that he must have shrinked them. Zac mentioned that maybe he had gained a little weight trying to ease him into it, he had been eating a lot more lately after all. Sam brushed it off and said that he didn't gain weight, his metabolism was too good. He did admit he had lost a bit of definition though. Zac gave up and figured Sam would have to really figure it out on his own or give him some time to get out of denial, it was probably only about 8 pounds now but at this rate he was going to get bigger.
Zac resolve broke again at this point and went back to his eating habits with Sam who was eating just as much as him now, Zac didn't know how such a skinny guy fit so much food down his throat. About another two weeks passed and their weight gain was getting out of hand. Zac hesitantly weighed himself and was taken aback to see that he had let himself get to 195 pounds, 35 pounds above his swimming weight. 35 pounds of pure butter fat. Standing only in shorts his waist was completely filled in and more balanced with his once impressive chest. His chest was flabby and starting to sag slightly, he was getting seriously big and chubby. He went downstairs in his shorts and saw Sam sprawled out on the couch. Sam noticed him coming down and made a joke about falling through the stars. Zac rolled his eyes as Sam laughed at his own joke. Sam asked if Zac had gained any more weight, he looked slightly bigger, Zac admitted that he had, "bloody up to 195 pounds'. Sam giggled as Zac collapsed down and sat down next to him. Sam grabbed a roll of fat on Zac's stomach and gave it a big wobble. Zac flushed, embarrassed at much he'd let himself go, for god's sake he was an athlete. Zac looked across at Sam's shirtless upper body and realised with shock that Sam had really gotten quite chubby and blown up quickly. Lying backwards with his arms by his sides his tummy was bulging out slightly in front of him from pure fat. His shorts were too tight and caused small bulge of fat at his sides and his chest had started to actually grow out slightly. His belly button had gotten far deeper suggesting that majority of his weight was going to straight to his lower body. Zac still embarrassed mentioned that Sam was looking a lil chunky there. Sam blushed and looked down on himself and his growing middle. Zac grabbed a roll of Sams lower body flab and gave it a heavy shake. Sam admitted that he had noticed he was getting a bit porky. Zac asked what he weighed, Sam admitted that he hadn't weighed himself. Zac laughed and gave Sam's middle a hearty shake and told him that he might want to check. Sam agreed and so they went to go weigh him. The needle flew past 135 until it rest just above 150 pounds. Sam swore loudly. Zac was laughing hysterically, mentioning that he was gaining way quicker than he had. Sam semi angrily replied that it wasn't funny, it was a serious problem. Standing like this he realised how much weight he was carrying in his middle, at this weight even though Zac had gained around double what he had, his belly was seriously getting to be a similar size, particularly around the belly button and bellow. The fat was thick and grabbable and stuck out like a sore thumb. He jiggled it with frustration and groaned, how the hell he had let himself go like this. Zac gave Sam's middle a hefty pat and then left the bathroom laughing.
Sam looked at his shirtless body in the mirror in a mix of shock, disgust and a little bit of interest. 15 pounds of flab dripping off his body, he clenched his stomach tight but there was nothing to be defined at all. He was a pudgy mess of an athlete, all evidence was fading under a thickening layer of jiggle and he didn't have the muscle bulk to carry it as well as Zac had been able to, he was all droopy and soft and looking pretty wide around the hips and waist.
The two boys decided to try and diet as best they could, Sam wanted to lose the 15 pounds he had gained and get back to 130 pounds while Zac had a lot more to lose if he wanted to get back to his original weight of 160 pounds, but it was probably more than 35 pounds of fat that he had gained anyway - some muscle had to of faded over time, he felt weaker than he was used to - though ironically he potentially could be better at rugby in certain positions because of his bulk, fat or otherwise. Over the next month the guys cut down on the eating and tried to get back to exercising, Zac managed to lose 10 pounds and tighten up his stomach a little bit and his new clothes fit fine again, he was still far too big for his rugby day clothes but it was a step in the right direction he supposed as he failed to get on his old jeans yet again. Sam wasn't having as much luck, in the first few weeks he'd lost a few pounds but he struggled with resisting all the food around him, he was exercising a lot more but it didn't really work when he was sneaking snacks in his room every second day and pretty soon as Zac was clearing 10 pounds lost Sam had regained what little weight he had lost and maybe even put on an extra pound or two as he grabbed the roll of fat under his bellybutton.
Sam continued his secret snacking and continued to put weight on, albeit a fair bit slower than before, Zac weight loss had hit a bit of a plateau and he was struggling to lose any more than 15 pounds and was growing frustrated, he was also suspicious of Sam, seeing as that he wasn't losing any weight. In fact as he watched Sam cross the room, he belly bulging against his shirt slightly, he looked heavier. Zac was around 180 pounds again while Sam was slipping up to around 155, not that much less than Zac's rugby weight.
Sam reached under his bed and pulled out half a block of chocolate and quickly started wolfing it down while watching a movie on his laptop. The laptop was resting on his soft tummy and he absent mindedly started scratching the small roll of flab from the ident on the computer.
Over the next two months Zac started to relax his diet, frustrated with the lack of progress and stopped losing weight, he gained back a pound or two but not much. Sam also put on another three pounds leaving him really close to 160 pounds, nearly 25 pounds on his slender frame which was showing like anything - even though Zac even now had gained more Sam looked fatter - he just couldn't carry the weight as subtly. As the boys lounged by the pool Zac was taking note of just how fat Sam had really let himself get, in his pretty tight swim shorts - around 30 inches in the waist but elastic his lower belly bulged over the top of his waistband, his belly button was facing up slightly due to the big roll of fat in his underbelly that had formed, particularly in the tight shorts. His sides were also getting really meaty and wobbled over the side by about a quarter inch, the thick fat flowing to his back where it rolled over the pants as well. His chest had blown out and grown two soft man boobs that were sagging slightly. His face was chubbier and while he still had cheekbones they were less defined and out matched by his double chin. His butt was wobbly and strained against the shorts and led into soft legs that quivered with fat and erased his small thigh gap - he looked damn chubby.
