Chapter 2 - indulged

There weren't a lot of advantages to having a birthday close to the holidays, but birthday cake was definitely one of them for her. She'd been saving the leftovers for later, and now seemed as good a time as any. She made her way to the fridge and pulled the mostly uneaten cake out of the fridge and onto the counter. Grabbing a plate and a spoon, she cut a rather sizeable piece--more a brick than a slice, really--for herself, sat down at the table, and dug in.

The cake was a rich, multi-layered chocolate with cream cheese filling and pink frosting. Every morsel exploded on her tongue with the most enticing flavor. She moaned in pleasure as she ate, her already stuffed belly swelling out with every bite. Before she knew it, the slice was gone--but not her appetite.

"I suppose one more slice couldn't hurt," she mused to herself. "I AM pretty hungry, and this cake is really good."

Her belly grumbled hungrily in response. Without a second thought, she got up from her chair with her plate and cut herself another piece.

The second slice went much to same as the first--a delectable delight down into her expanding tummy that did little more than to whet her appetite. By the time she'd finished her third slice, half the cake was still on the counter and her hunger had only doubled.

"I dunno, what's up with me tonight," she said, "but I gotta have more cake."

Rubbing her belly with desire, she decided to forgo her plate and just sat down under the counter, setting the cake on her shrinking lap. She reached for her spoon when she suddenly realized--she'd left it at the table! The silverware drawer was across the counter, just out of reach from where she sat.

She shrugged. "Eh. Not worth it." And with that, she tore a chunk of cake off with her hands and crammed it into her mouth. She licked the frosting off her fingers, savoring the sugary flavor.

"So good..." she moaned, giving her tight belly a soothing rub, "need more..."

Any plans on leaving some leftovers for the next few weeks or so were quickly abandoned. All she wanted was cake, cake, CAKE, and she wanted it here and now, right in her belly. Chunk after chunk of delicious, heavy cake made its way into her mouth and down into her gullet, pushing her distended abdomen out further and further into her lap.

Eventually, she'd eaten the whole thing! Wiping her finger across the empty sheet, she sucked the remaining frosting clean off the sheet. With a groan, she slumped over against the counter, discarding the empty sheet off to the side.

She looked down at her enormously swollen gut. Her shirt definitely couldn't cover it entirely anymore, it was just so gargantuan. She wasn't quite sure why she'd done this to herself, but she'd be lying if she said it wasn't enjoyable, both the food and, to a strange extent, the size of her belly. Ordinarily, she'd try to work off the weight, but maybe not this time. She thought her belly was kinda cute, in its own way--like a big, soft balloon of food and lovely fat.

She let out a satisfied burp, rubbing her big belly all over. Her tummy was super sensitive to the soothing touch of her fingers. She wondered what it'd be like if her belly were this big all the time, or maybe just for a few months in the year. Or what it'd be like if she let herself eat to her heart's content more frequently. She really did love food. Why not let herself enjoy it more often? Maybe that should be her new year's resolution. Not to lose weight, but to let loose every now and then. Nothing wrong with that, right?

She smiled to herself. No matter what she decided, one thing was clear: she'd had a good time tonight, and couldn't wait to see the results in the days to come.
