After the holidays

Chapter 3 - gained

She was getting fat.

It's not like she'd been all that slim before. But over the past few months or so, she had to admit that she'd gotten rounder overall. To be expected, of course. She loved food, and was finally allowing herself to enjoy it more. The jeans she bought after New Year's were already up a size than what she bought before, and now were starting to get a little too snug themselves.

Her shirts were also starting to get tighter, leaving less and less to the imagination as her figure gave more and more to cover. The battle of the bulge was alive and roaring, and her clothes were losing.

It really was quite the transformation for such a relatively short period of time. Her thighs had thickened, her arms had softened, her butt had ballooned, but most striking of all was how her belly had burgeoned. Any trace of her abs that might have still remained was gone, replaced by an undeniably thick layer of jiggly, hungry fat. It strained against the button of her jeans, spilling over the waistband and under the hem of her shirt in a fluffy muffin top. She definitely had a potbelly, and with the way she was eating, it was only going to get bigger.

She stood in front of the mirror in a tight tank top and leggings, examining her newly plumpening figure with a smile. Most people would be disappointed or upset to have gained weight like this, but she was rather happy. She gave her big belly a nice shake, relishing as it rippled and quivered like flabby jello from underneath her tank top.

"I've gotten so BIG," she reflected. "Most people would be disappointed about gaining weight like this, but not me, it seems."

Suddenly, a loud rumble resounded from her growing gut. It was time for breakfast. Giving her big belly a satisfied rub, she headed to the kitchen for her morning meal. Something, however, was tugging at the back of her mind.

"I feel like I'm forgetting something..." she thought, "but I don't know what."

She shrugged. "It'll come to me eventually. Right now, it's time to eat." She opened up the fridge and was greeted with a sight she had bought as a reminder for today's occasion--a 3-pound box of chocolates. And now she remembered what today was:
