Calories needed to gain weight

Not an expert here, I'm actually trying to gain too (with great difficulty), but as far as I have learned:

-To get fat you need more calories > which means you need to consume at least 500 or more than you normally eat. Usually the average diet is 2000 calories, it all depends of the energy you waste each day, metabolism and how much you eat. Eating 3000 daily calories would get you fatter in no time, if you cut physical activity to the minimum and eat smth caloric. Some diet plans guarantee that you will gain 1lb each week, but it all depends.

Sometimes people think that eating a lot = getting fat faster, but overeating when you aren't used to eat a lot would cause stomach ache, feeling sick of food and maybe all those calories end up in the toilet. So focus on eating things with a lot of calories and throughout the day. That's why people drink highly caloric shakes or have a lot of snacks.

Never stop doing physical activity, just the bare minimum, and don't eat a lot of sugar. Diabetes is not a game. No pill or magic recipe will make u gain faster. The idea of eating a lot and move less is to slow your metabolism so the calories stay in your body. There's no magic potion to change that.

Calories needed to gain weight

You can calculate your BMR, this is what I've done to ensure I get enough calories. I prefer to gain weight with junk food, but I know that's not everyone's preference and you can still gain weight while eating healthy for sure.
