Mobility devices

Does anyone else get excited window shopping for mobility devices? I struggle to walk long distances and love to browse scooters online. I really need to give in and get one I think!

I have a zinger, which i bought second hand.
It folds up so you can put it in your trunk.
Works by battery. You can go for 10 miles on the large battery, 5 on the small one.
Not great on uneven surfaces but other than that, works really well.

Look for the model with a joy stick. It frees up a hand to do other things with.

Mobility devices

I'm hijacking this post to say please for anyone who uses any sort of mobility device, whether it be a wheelchair, power wheelchair, or a scooter, please clean them regularly. These things get real nasty real quick. I just got some chairs in that we were letting some patients demo before they purchased them and even though they've only had them for a couple weeks I'm digging crazy amounts of food and other debris out of the cushions, wheels, and motors. Also if you have longer hair, bits of hair absolutely loves to wrap around the axels and you might have to take off the wheels in order to unjam it. So I'd recommend at least knowing the basics on how to take apart your chair/scooter in order to keep it well maintained
