Find it mad when people think only being attracted to bigger women is a fetish can assure you i am not attracted to skinny women in any way. So for me i think ts like a gay man liking men wouldnt say thats a fetish. Youre thoughts everyone...

Sooooo ...

You are attracted to fat women.
And only fat women.
You don't find any other body type attractive.

And you are on a fat fetish website,

My brother in Christ ... that's a fetish.

Being attracted to fat women isn't a fetish. But the way you go about it is inherently fetishistic.

The same goes for any other kind of woman: thin, muscular, thick, tall, short, etc. If you can find different kinds of women attractive - even if you have preferences - then it's not necessarily a fetish. But if you can't find women attractive outside of a specific kind of woman, then it's a fetish.

Can I ask honestly if there is something wrong with having a fetish? Sometimes it feels like people in this community have an aversion to the word, but all it means is that something specific is **required** to achieve sexual arousal. I personally identify as having a fat fetish but not a fat-forward sexuality, because I can still feel (and have felt) **emotionally** attracted to thin people as well. But what is the shame in a fetish?

It's the same with the evolutionary essentialism crowd. It's ultimately about legitimizing the taboo. People want to enjoy their fetishes but also want to fit in. Nothing wrong with that. But the way they go about it is very ... having your cake and eating it too.

Nothing at all wrong with having a fetish. But people who experience a fat fetish seem blithely to assume that it is the same for everyone else.

My own experience of fat attraction is that it is more fundamental than a fetish.

It's tragically comical how often I'll see people making "Is my spouse secretly a feedee?" threads. And every time without fail it's just some person doing regular people things.

Or the feedees terrifying someone will think they are a feedee for buying a carton of heavy cream.

Mentat798:
With most fetishes, can't you do exactly that? Have your cake and eat it too I mean. I mean, to my knowledge, having a fat fetish is one of those fetishes that you can't easily take off if you are the fat partner or participant.

Not really. I've seen post after post wax lyrical about how their obvious fetish/kink isn't a fetish or a kink. It usually comes at the expense of someone else - usually women. And when you point out the obvious flaws in their logic they either double down or say "Well that's just my fetish."

Something is a sexual fetish for someone when they get sexual arousal or gratification from objects, actions, or traits that aren't fundamentally sexual in nature.
Eating isn't fundamentally sexual in nature, but a lot of people here are turned on by it, so definitely a fetish.
Being fat isn't fundamentally sexual either. Neither are feet, bellies, etc.
It seems like there is a spectrum with different levels of fetish however. And I would probably categorize them in ascending order as physical trait (human body), action type, and object type fetish.
I think there is a good argument to be made that having a preference for fatter people is just a preference, but taken to the extreme, where that's all you care about ( how fat someone is) is definitely getting into the fetish spectrum.
Action type - if you're only turned on by women who play the violin or bloat their bellies. Obviously a fetish.
If you're turned on by a specific object, a violin, or maybe extrapolate that to mean objectifying the belly itself for some of us. Also obviously fetishistic in nature.
