There are a lot of options out there. It's not so much about any product being the best so much as the best for you.
I have thick thighs, so I know how important it is it keep things clean and dry. There are anti-chafing sticks, powder, diaper rash cream, and more. Some people prefer to keep their pant under their bellies for this very reason.
Another thing you need to do is keep the area clean, dry, and moisturized. What I like to do is wash the area with my face cleanser. Hibacleans is another good one if you are dealing with broken skin. Pat the area dry with a towel, and follow up with an oil or butter of your choice. I like to use raw Shea butter oil tea tree oil.
IMPORTANT
Do not use straight tea tree oil. You will irritate your skin. Always have it mixed with a carrier oil. You can either do this yourself or buy something pre-formulated. I like to used the kind from Hollywood Beauty.

I recommend antibacterial soap for cleaning. As we all know, fat folds and any area thats covered with fat will create a lot of sweat/moisture. You want to keep it as clean and dry as possible. I sometimes use baby powder for my thighs' fat folds. in the crotch area I use AMD Gauze, it's a bit pricey but it's well worth it, also kills bacteria.

Any areas that touch for long periods like sitting at the computer for instance or driving like to fuse together and when you go to move can cause ripping or tearing of the skin unless you have big oily pours then you just get chaff discoloration

This is one of the many reasons I be telling people to use body oils or butters. It's really good for the skin, and it minimizes your skin ripping and cracking.
Another thing to note is that if an area is prone to being warm and wet, you increase the risk of bacteria and yeast infections. So not only do you need a daily skin care routine, but sometimes you need to freshen up as needed throughout the day.
