Traveling

I absolutely adore traveling too. I have been very lucky that my work has brought me to quite some corners of the world. Put me on a plane, even if it is for a one day round trip, and I am happy. My favourite region is the US South West.

I have always wondered what it must be like living on the Pitcairn Islands. Must be the Robinson Crusoƫ in me...

Anywhere but here, probably. Seriously though, I'd fancy going to some provinces of Canada, some states of the US, and to the UK.

Come now, Oz has some really interesting corners to explore smiley I'd love to visit Darwin, and the Cape York / N. Queensland rainforests. And the Cocos/Keeling Islands are far to weird to miss. smiley

Also, my maternal family lived for a while in Victoria, and someday I'll get to visit their old hometown and see what things are like now, and find out more about how it was then.

True that, I meant more anywhere than the dreary valley which I inhabit. Melbourne and Perth probably would be good.

Someone once told a family member there was nothing to do in Darwin (where they worked for a time) but drink and they were bored out of their brains which put me off there, though I suppose the scenery might be nice and make it worth the visit, just not live and work there, haha. smiley

My gran (aged 92) has been all over the world as all her life she was truly intrepid. She's my heroine smiley. So I asked where she would most like to visit that she hadn't yet seen. She said she'd go and see the wild horses of the Camargue. So yeah, that's what I'd like to do this summer. I'll take photos for her.
