Gaining

Feeding in movies

I just responded to someone's blog addressing how awful and ridiculous the movie "Feed" is. I feel awful that something we see as so beautiful, magic and exciting was taken to such level of disgust in this film.

That said, I'd like to suggest two movies where where feeding/weighgain are mentioned in a better light:

- "City Island": feeding is not the center of the story. It is a side plot that is explored in a light-hearted, humorous-yet-not disrespectful approach. The ssbbw actress Carrie Baker Reynolds is as gorgeous as she is talented. The rest of the cast is grade "A" Hollywood.

- "disFIGURED": Laurie O'Brien plays a woman of size in this movie that explores the unexpected friendship between her character Darcy and an anorexic woman. The main themes, body image and relationships, are timely.

Both movies had limited distribution in theaters but are now available for rent. I'm sure some of the people who see these movies will like them and some won't. That's just the way films - and art in general - are.

Cheers.

Thank you for the compliment, movie buff! And just to make sure, the movie is "City Island."

I don't know about you guys but I was laughing my *** off in the beginning of "feed" when the cop broke into those two guys and one of them was eating the other and implys that that is what feederism is. Eating people.

the cop in feed investigates strange online fetishes and the beginning he is investigating people into cannibalism as a sexual fetish not feederism.
