Perhaps someone with experience of other "special interest" or fetish sites could tell us whether those sites are any different? We may just have the statistically average amount for a website that is, let's face it, considerably bound up with bodies/attraction/sexual themes. Not that there's anything wrong with that (I love it) and not that there aren't other valid & serious matters discussed here (before the intense folk jump down my throat). Sexy stuff on the Internet is always gonna attract the creepers.
I agree there also seems to be a high proportion of socially dysfunctional characters but (a) again, it's the Internet, we could all be out socialising &/or making society better, but we're not, we're electing to commune in virtual reality, so there's an element of self-selected weirdness anyway, and (
the older I get the more I realise that no-one I know is actually normal, haha.
