Heaven forbid we warn people about the presence of an unnamed community member who's been scamming people out of money.

We might hurt their feelings and reputation.

People are innocent until proven guilty, and it's libel to name them for those reasons. It's not a difficult concept.

Is his own admission of guilt- posted on FB but deleted when he deleted his account earlier today- evidence enough, or should we keep insisting that he's innocent despite several women claiming he's done the same to them?

Also, though you claim you can't ban him for his criminal activities, this is not entirely true; the rules themselves pretty much state that you can ban members for any reason at any time (which is a standard thing to go in forum rules, everywhere I've been). And since people have been banned here for some truly petty things, are you honestly claiming that you won't take action against a member who is in part using this site and others to engage in said criminal activities?

Either ban someone who's preyed on women here or admit that you're more okay with having the site facilitate these predatory activities.

Considering there is a good chance his name will come out at some time. Even if not in this thread, but more from general knowledge of who it is from BGP, he would have to be pretty stupid to want to stay around this site. Clearly some people here do know who he is and that information will spread at various meets, or at BGP.

There must be a chance that should he be seen at any BGP event he will likely get a good kicking at least. He may well hide and not be active in any way from now on. I know most thieves are really stupid, but he'd have to be a complete moron to to stay in this scene from now on.

It's not fair for us to take action against any member based on hearsay.

We're not going to start banning or vetting members based on non FF activities.

If we do find someone has been using FF for criminal activities then we're going to need convincing proof before banning them.

This event has hopefully served as a warning for everyone to take good care when meeting other members offline.
