I agree one hundred percent. I've been trying to forge in-state connections for a long while. And recently I've discovered a few people. One in DC and one in northern Virginia (I live in Virginia as well) but I live in southern Virginia and don't have the means to travel.

One of my goals for when I get a job is to attend one of the northern Virginia meets, as there have been a few held in the past.
