Since we're in Dr. Who mode here - man its good to immerse in British TV nostalgia being remote as I am in USA. But yes, I know this is going to show my age - but which Dr. can any anyone relate to as being their first real experience with Dr. Who....I don't mean from repeats but actually out of the box on the air material.
For me, I can just about remember Patrick Troughton's regeneration into Jon Pertwee. Tom Baker was who I grew up with and have best memories of, then of course Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy.
That was when the BBC officially cancelled the series. Although Peter McGann was able to revive Dr. Who in the film version, to me it was pretty good but never really the same. I've not been able to see the more recent actors in the revival through I think is it Big Finish(?) that I have seen referred to.
Whether or not a new official Dr. Who reunion will take place with the remaining actors who played the character, I don't know. In fact, was it not in the 5 doctors (call me out if I'm wrong) that William Hartnell had already passed away and was portrayed albeit very well by another actor (don't know the name) trapped in some time cage(?)
Patrick Troughton and relatively recently Jon Pertwee left our fold to that time lord dimension in the sky somewhere. Tom Baker is 79 now so there is no way he could play an active roll as one of the previous doctors, but I am sure if he was interested he could have a more less laborious roll if invited to do so. Peter Davison is still in his early 60's and Sylvester McCoy just turned 70 so could still be possibly considered for suitable roles.

I'm going to show
my age here, though in a different way. Being born only a few years before the original show was cancelled, my first
on the air experience was probably the Paul McGann film, though I was a fan of the show well before then, originally via the Peter Cushing films, then onto the show proper via tapes from the local library.
William Hartnell's role
was portrayed by a different actor (I think his name was Richard Hurndall) for The Five Doctors as Hartnell had died, though the time cage thing was an earlier reunion (the three doctors) where he was still alive but too ill to be involved in the main filming.
I've probably geeked out over Big Finish here before, but never explained what it is I was raving about! They're a company that produces (among other things) an ongoing line in
audio adventures as CDs and downloads using surviving actors from the old series + Paul McGann. They've been going since about 1999, I think they're very good, and some of their people now also work on the TV series.
I should probably stop now
