I have the same problem with my boyfriend, he knows I like him fat; he says he understands and he appreaciates it but he wants to lose weight.
I simply cannot fathom telling him I'd rather he get fatter than lose weight, I am so afraid he'll see it as something terrible and immediately start looking for the Eject button to get out of the relationship.
I think he wants to lose weight so if the relationship does go south he'll have a reason to bail and still have a shot at finding someone else. He's still firmly in the fat hate group. I don't mean to hijack your thread with my own story, I just wasn't sure if I should make another with the same topic.
