That reminded me of an observation I made as a young teenager on the bus which has stayed with me. Two very lovely very fat young women got onto the bus I was on, and sat down. But I noticed, before she sat down (well, more 'reversed into the space and lowered herself' ) one of them looked over her shoulder at the seat, to judge whether her bum was actually going to fit, it seemed (the bus wasn't at all crowded, so it was a double-seat. They took either side of the aisle). It was so simple, but so so telling.

I don't really have any stories like this, sadly, but there were times where I felt as if I were being "appreciated" but I couldn't be sure. Mostly it was at buffets, or in the Lecture halls at the University I recently graduated from.

I'd hope you'd come over and talk to me as well. No one likes to eat alone
