A new automobile

I gave my wife a Kia Sorento, and it's the most comfortable vehicle she's ever driven.

She had a Ford Explorer prior to the Kia which was not bad, but not nearly as comfortable.

She's bottom heavy and has weighed between 230-300 over the years, and is very fussy when it comes to the comfort and style of what she drives.

Do you take it to harsh (mud or snow, or generally off road) conditions or why it has to be an SUV? I drive old Mercedes E320CDI estate model W210 and it has plenty of space for me + 4 huge SSBBWS, it has self-levelling rear suspension so it doesn't drop too low, it has one of the biggest payloads, and I can sit 2 kids into the seats in boot or put plenty of cargo there...

If you don't need to drive that many people etc, how about Merc 500CL? That's also amazingly spacious, yet it even has enough space on rear seats despite it being a coupe, well it's 5 meter long coupe!

Cheers

SUVs are popular here in the States even for those who don't need all the cargo space or off road capabilities. We never go off road.

Station wagons are not in vogue here as they are across the pond! My wife would not drive a wagon or mini van! She had a Ford Mustang and it was very impractical having only two doors, which is one of the reasons we got rid of it and went with the Explorer and later the Kia.

While she likes Mercedes, most of their vehicles are expensive to purchase, own, and maintain. They put out a ML320 SUV which is well appointed and popular but it doesn't match the value of Kia for the price.
