I agree with the previous posters, here's what has worked for me in the last 8 or 9 months:
-eat large volumes of food to stretch out your stomach capacity.  Whn you start to feel full, push yourself a little more each day.  You will find that this is what drives you to get seconds, thirds, fourths, etc., and I attribute my quick gains to this.
-as FatL0vr touched on, you can eat a lot but don't eat crap. Stay away from too many transfats, too much processed sugar, and too much sodium.  As my feeder puts it:  "You want to get fat, not sick."
