one of the hardest thing with staying big is all the doctors trying to use weight loss as a cure for every illness and never get an actual cure for your ailment. leaving you unhappy, unwell and afraid to go to the doctor ever again.

there are services such as fatfriendlydocs.com but perhaps we can make a list of our own and get this made into a sticky (nudge nudge admins)

I find this an even bigger problem in the UK than in the US, but Tubby Marie is right. If the GP says something about your weight, just say your immediate concern is your chest infection. If he doesn't listen, just walk out and go to an after hours GP.

Just ask how he would treat a condition in his thin patients, then ask for that treatment. There are no ailments that only fat people get.
