New website feature - get your profile verified

I guess a bit of judgement will be needed when interacting with other members. The spirit of the scheme is that members are awarded verified profiles partly on the understanding that they're not trying to sell anything or beg for gifts. We're not trying to prevent you from chatting about your work and what you do, and your paysite may well come up in conversation. I don't think anyone would object to this, especially if you've been chatting for a while got to know them a bit. However we will be relying on members to help police this through abuse reports and complaints. Obviously we will look into each report fairly and objectively and only un-verify a profile if we're sure the rules have been broken.

FigureBySnacks as a great point. The site is already selling advertising, why not promote that advertising to members more? I kinda posted on that already but maytbe more could be done.

I personally am not fond of mixing personal profiles with business profiles and that seems to be what you are trying to get away from.

So why not have real business memberships that look different, don't participate in forums or shouts maybe, but support business features like selling stories, merchandise, photos, videos, or whatever?

Someone could have a personal profile devoid of commercial content and a paid business profile to sell stuff? A win-win?

I can safely say that this is not the first time we have discussed this idea as a business. We have not gone down the route of having business / model profiles because although yes... we could make extra income. It would take away from the social side of the site.

We understand selling content is becoming increasingly popular within this community but we don't want to be inundated on our forums and other areas of the site with people promoting themselves. This has happened on other websites and its not a route we want to go down here.

Verified profiles is a new feature and improvements can always be made, but this is a giant leap forward in helping you guys connect with real members who are here to chat, make friends and date.
-------
To FigureBySnacks...

1. Your profile was debated when being verified due to you mentioning the selling of clothing and that people may ask you for links. We decided on this occasion that it was OK as you are not directly linking to other sites or shops to sell your garments. However if you were then reported to us by a member who said you were actively advertising your services and provided us with evidence. We would remove the verification as with anyone.

2. The author that advertises paid stories elsewhere... There is no difference from this and web models promoting content. Can you please report the user to us so we can ask the author in question to remove the details. Rule 7 quite clearly states the site should be used for non commercial purposes only. This applied to all members.
-------

We do allow web models to link to other sites, this should only be done on your profile, but as linking is promoting a business we would not verify profiles like this. This does not mean they can not use the site or contact members. The site can still be used in exactly the same way.

Verified and Non verified profiles are not here to punish models or content sellers. They are a way for our other members to find like minded individuals. People can make the choice, it's up to them if they want to speak with people who sell content. It just makes it easier to identify the type of interaction you are going to get. Lots of our members feel they put the time into getting to know people only to be asked for payment down the line and feel disheartened.

Of course models may wish to date on FF. Everyone and anyone can apply for verification, there's no restriction. However, if we verify a profile and a member you have been chatting with reports you for promoting/ advertising/ solicitation then we may remove the verification.

We are going to relying on you guys to help manage this. OF course we will fairly review all reports and will not act based on just hearsay we will need screenshots/ evidence. Which I think is fair.

It could be debated that the site has already lost the community aspect of it as the business models pervade the site/community. Nothing against them, but, business is business and social is social. There's really not that much grey area there. Ever hear the phrase "business and pleasure don't mix"? I feel the same applies here. Safe spaces for all can't be a bad thing, right?

This is exactly why we have brought in profile verification.

Models and content sellers can still use the site but they won't have verified profiles. Unless the are here for dating and not just to sellor promote on their profile.

So as a user... Looking for someone to chat with. If you see the profile has a green shield verification icon... This user is highly unlikely to try and sell to you. If they do... Then report it and we will remove the verified status.

Anyone without a verified icon is exactly that. We haven't seen a photo of them to prove they are who they say they are and they may look to sell to you.

So you can make the choice. The info is in the profile for you to access and make an informed decision.

Youve already had a content creator overtly and publicly offer up a way to circumvent it and have left the enforcement of the new system up to the people of the community. I pay for an upgrade, do I get a refund of sorts if I am also acting as a defacto admin due to your request for informing if the rule is violated?

So you would rather us remove this feature completely...

Admins don't get paid... So not sure what you are referring to there. We expect members to help generally by reporting others who break rules. We don't monitor every interaction 24/7 there's no way to enforce that sort of check system.

To keep the site a safe space. It makes sense to let members help police it... We don't ask you to do this so mods sit around and do nothing.

You can't please everyone, but this is a massive step in the right direction.

Everyone is talking about models having a green shield or not and Iā€™m just sitting here wondering why as I sift through profiles nearly half of them are constantly being created and then deleted daily, all of which are clearly bogus and most likely some dude snagging pictures of foreign models to use and then writing the same hardly readable profile bio of ā€œ am smart kind loving woman no play games, looking for passionate man.ā€ Iā€™m pretty sure almost half the profiles here are spammed by the same handful of scammers. Anyone wanna do anything about that or nah?

@Cookie- if saying I have a shop is a problem, just let me know. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I figured that way anyone interested in it can let me know with a message. I'm pretty sure most people can tell I'm a real person from how I act, even without a fancy icon.

Not a problem... Which is why we decided to verify your profile.

You brought up your shop in an earlier message. I was addressing that and also that you remarked about the unfairness or disparity of those who include links in stories, and content creators for pics and vids and also users like yourself who potentially would like to link to a shop or other businesses.

I was explaining that we review profiles and take into consideration what you have on your profile. We review everyone fairly and no matter your business... If you are linking directly and advertising we won't verify the profile. This is due to the site rules and that it should be used for non profit only. However you can talk about your jobs or side business just not explicitly advertise... I was using your profile as an example as a way of explaining the difference of what we do and don't allow to help other members.

I feel like the spirit of this has been lost. This feature was brought in at the request of members who spoke of concerns that the site was overrun with fake people and too many content sellers.

The site should only be used socially. So the verification confirms that:

1. You're a real person with a submitted photo.

2. You're here to use the site as a genuine user and not here just to sell content or potentially as a scammer...

*Please note I am not saying models are scammers but there are scammers that use model like profiles to lure people off site.

This feature is supposed to give users a chance to find people here with genuine interest in feederism who are real people so they can meet, chat, make friends and more... Many models are here to do exactly that too.
