anyone got any advice or go to therapists/places to get a massage in London that will be accommodating of a fat guy? I really feel the need for some work on my back as I close in on 400 but I'm scared to book anything.

Wouldn't be able to recommend anything in London as I am based up north. However as for experiences.. I can safely say that whenever I have been for a massage, I have always had a good experience with staff and therapists. So don't be put off by your size. You can expect professionalism with no judgement. After all you are paying for a service!

West London Physio in Kensington used to be good (haven't been in a number of years). They dealt with a bariatric client of my friend for back pain. He was a big guy and had sciatic pain, don't recall any complaints

Thank you both! Will look into the recommendations. Its more just for the relaxing results of a massage. I do sometimes get lower back pain but its more a deep tissue massage I'm after just for the enjoyment of it.

Thank you for this c00kie. You're so right, I haven't really thought about it like that. The inner fatphobe coming out as an insecurity of 'what will people think' etc. I am quite a confident fat guy but with lockdown, I've gained substantially and haven't really seen anyone for a long time so the old worries are creeping back. Need to just book it and be done!
