I'm wanting to make a weight gain mystery story but I keep having issues figuring out how it could be done.
I guess mainly because I've never really seen one, so I guess part of my question is if anyone has a recommendation.
If not/but also, I want to know how to really pull this off. How would the mystery be driven forward by the weight gain? How could the mystery drive the weight gain forward?
Luckily for my idea we have a few things working in our favor, I'm wanting to make something that is very off the wall and bizarre. My biggest inspiration for this is MTV's Liquid Television which often featured a few mystery or secret agent segments (Invisible Hands, Psycho Gram, Brad Dharma, etc.), though of course each of them are anything but normal.
So it doesn't have to make sense, it just has to get the story moving. Though often these also focus on the supernatural (psychic powers mostly, though sometimes they use things like ridiculous super powers or odd secret agent preparations).
I also have one thing that might be used as the mystery, the idea for the opening is that our lead suddenly gets an appetite out of nowhere and this is what causes them to start eating like mad and gaining weight.
They could be trying to figure out what happened to cause this. This also creates the conflict of them wanting to solve the mystery but gaining weight is setting them back somehow or at least becoming an obstacle as they want to focus on it more.
I feel as though the mystery and weight gain would just kind of be there in the story and not really interact with one another though or that they'd mess each other up in some way.
Most sources to help with making a mystery story are about murder mysteries and a dead body doesn't sound like my idea of a good time. Also, how could I keep the reader focused on the mystery and focused on the turn-ons at the same time, and even if balanced so they focus on them scene by scene how would we transition from one to the other and still flow that well (so how do they both drive each other forward)?
Some questions I know I'll have to answer myself like the solution to the mystery, how the supernatural elements are included or used, and also how this works as a game (which is my ultimate goal for this project, inspired by the 3DO/PS1 game Psychic Detective which fits in with Liquid Television easily), but still any help with how I could there is greatly appreciated.
tl;dr: Any recommendations for a fat fetish mystery story for inspiration? If not, how can a fat fetish mystery story work so that both of those elements are driving each other forward? The solution to that question doesn't have to make perfect sense as this story will delve into the bizarre and supernatural or just absurd anyway.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
