Stuffing

Was chatting with a fellow former Midwesterner last night, asking me about my favorite foods, and realized just how much I love and miss hotdish... I usually make it every Thanksgiving for a taste of home, but realized just perfect of an FA/stuffing extravaganza it is and that I basically never hear it discussed! I should probably make some soon. Mmm.

We have something similar in Germany, it is called “Auflauf” and it is anything thrown together (usually meat and veggies and sauce - canned soup can be used as such too - and pasta or potatoes or something starchy) and covered with cheese and baked.
