Gaining

Gaining questions

Hi There! My name is Noah and I have wounded up the courage (and the excuse) to gain some weight. Currently, I am at 115 pounds and I am roughly 5’5. So if you couldn’t tell by just the numbers, I am quite skinny. Well anyway, I could use a couple of professional gainers in here to give me a heads up to start gaining. My goal weight for this year is to hit 135-140 pounds! I know that is still rather skinny, but I still need to gain 25 pounds. So I believe that I have a long road led out for me.

To start things off, I want to do a monthly goal of being able to eat 3 meals a day. That is where I want to start first. I have been starting to count my calories and I am nearing around the 2,500 calorie mark. I think that is pretty decent especially from a skinnier gainer. Enough said, I just have a few questions about gaining and would also like to here any other miscellaneous ideas or tips to help me!

Questions:
1. When will it start to be noticeable? Will gaining those 25 pounds be noticeable in the first place?
2. Recently I have been super bloated and it’s rather hard to eat 3 meals, is that normal? Should I be seeing result regarding my appetite soon?
3. What are some good things to eat in the morning? I have most of my classes for college at 8 AM. I was wondering if there were any quick, fast ways to create a gainer breakfast “on the go.”
4. I am still rather new to this whole gaining thing. With the upgrade of 25 pounds, will I be needing to buy new clothes? Just out of curiosity.
5. Please share any other tips for me! I am still dying to figure out the best snacks during class and other activities around campus.

Thanks so much for reading! Noah out!!

What kind of fat are you trying to gain? Also, if you need a caloric snack you can take with you, there's a thing called powdered heavy cream. It could be incorporated into a snack you could take with you and wouldn't be all liquidly.

Well, I am still fairly new, but I want to try and gain fat where it’s not very hard. I would really like to have a softer body. However, I don’t want to look like jell-o. I don’t know, I hope that make sense.

Also, I would like to exclaim a problem. I have been eating three meals a day for the past 3 days. When I tell you how much my stomach hurts doing this routine. It’s insane. Maybe I am just going too fast, but it actually is starting to hurt my stomach from eating as often as I do. Can someone help me with this issue?

If you're looking to eat more, the ideal state to go up to is "slightly uncomfortable". Some people can handle going past that, but if you can't, you might want to try grazing instead. Hit your limit, then sustain it as long as possible by topping it with snacks. This will not only stretch your stomach, but condition your body to be hungrier more often.

I had the experience that people I worked with tended to gain faster if, instead of doing few large meals, they ate several smaller portions so that you are never hungry but maintain the "full" status quo over the entire day. Also if you have trouble eating a lot I'd go for things that have a lot of empty calories like sugary drinks and juices or snacking candy bars every hour or so. It's often easier for people to over-eat on things they like so try making a list of your favorite treats and make sure to keep them around. If you are a college student, keeping a snack drawer in your desk/bedside table might also be the way to go. Adding butter to recepies also adds some calories you won't notice while eating. Feel free to message me for some more tips or if you have more questions!

So you want a combination of subcutaneous and visceral fat?

I think so? If I am not mistaken, visceral fat is mostly more unhealthy foods to gain weight while subcutaneous is more from dairy products and healthier food products? I want to become like super soft, but make it possible to be controlled. That’s where I kind of want to go. Maybe percentages might help a bit better: 75% subcutaneous 25% visceral.

Hey Nick! Thanks for the advice. I will definitely use the snack drawer idea! Also, that makes sense about the multiple meals. I will have to try that.
