John Smith:
Maybe they neglect this account.
But like you've said, there has only but "some" . In most case scenarios, the immobile obese partner found themselves being any longer being upheld at a position which allow them to be the breadwinner of the household, thanks to their own immensely cumbersome physicality.
Which gets further inclined to be even truer if the said partner happens to be a woman in a heterosexual couple: least both statistically speaking-- given that most North American men (both Canadians and Americans) earns on an average a fairly higher wage than their fellow North American women; this and the fact that generally speaking grown women prefers to commit into a long-standing couple relationship or marriage with men who are slightly to immensely financially better advantaged than them, out of some deeply ingrained sociological habits.
The tangents just leans into getting exacerbated if immobile obese individuals struggles within an already socioeconomically disadvantaged background-- or in some cases, had an opportunity to financially lever themselves up into a a socioeconomically comfortable lifestyle but didn't because they have poor long-term budgetary planning.[/quote]
Men earning more than women in USA/CAN, nor gender, sexuality, socioeconomic level are the issues. The issue is whomever has the checks, credit cards and bank account in their name, is the breadwinner. They can still live as they have been accustomed to even if the 'enabler' withdraws their $. Rent/mortgage payments can be met as deliveries can still be made.
Other 'enablers' whether friends, blood family or close neighbors are able to come and go.
Harder to rein-in someone's want for food or behaviors when they have their own access without conflict/dependent on others.
