Gaining

Resuming weight gain

Zora:
Hi Everyone,

It has been quite a while since I was on here. I quit my prior job due to stress and burnout and was unemployed for a while. I'm working again and have managed to pull off a career change into another sedentary field.

Now that I'm back on track, I'm ready to start gaining again. Unfortunately, my set-point wasn't anywhere near as high as I expected it to be. From my high of 295 pounds early this year, I have dropped back down to 215 pounds.

This is ridiculous. I know I'm a hard gainer, but I really was hoping that my weight would have stabilized somewhere closer to my 295 pound peak. Oh well, at least I get to enjoy the gaining process for a longer period of time. On top of that, I won't need to do a wardrobe change for a while.

I start gaining today. I like to have my gaining cycles coincide with my supplement cycle, but this first one is going to be short just because I'm halfway through my supplement cycle. As before, I'll post updates once a week. Wish me luck!

Good luck and welcome back!

good luck

Keep at it (I mean eating). I found that I would get to a new high weight only to go back down to my previous weight. I'd binge get back up and maybe only go down a couple of pounds. I worked my weigh up to 230 lbs. from 215 lbs. doing this, good luck! and of course enjoy yourself!

don't let the slow start dishearten you. it's not unusual for it to take 2-3 weeks to see noticeable weight increases on the scales regardless of what you're eating and drinking to gain.

as long as you're enjoying yourself keep going with it and good luck. smiley

It took me a good 6 months to get weight to actually stick on me when I first started to gain.
Don't get all discouraged just keep up your plan and don't weigh yourself every day.

Resuming weight gain

I'm kinda in the same boat. I gave gaining a try for the second time in life a few months ago. I started at about 150 and gained pretty quick to 185ish. But then plateaued and couldn't seem to get passed that weight. I'm normally pretty thin and don't eat much. So gaining was really hard. I ended up stopping for a few months and lost some. But then noticed I slowly started gaining back to 185ish. Where I am now. So I'm restarting gaining again and hoping that I won't hit a plateau at this point. I too have been on prednisone a lot in life cause I have crohns disease. Which also doesn't help with gaining. Although prednisone has caused me to gain at times in the past. But I'm not on it now. If you find any tips that works for you I'd love to hear them! Best of luck!

I absolutely adore reading through all your experiences Zora. So we’ll documented.

You’ve really nailed it this time.

Ive read all previous experiences of yours in the sneaky thread.

I’m really curious what amount of volume of cream you take in at that frequency of 4x / day average to get these impressive weekly numbers!!

Weigh-in: Friday, February 4th, 2022.

This is my second weigh-in for this gaining cycle. The scale read 250.6 pounds. I broke 250! This is a 5.4 pound gain for the week. This is a total gain of about 35.6 pounds since I decided to resume gaining in late November of 2021.

I decided to try on some old pants I bought for a job interview in November of 2021. Despite the stretchy fabric, they are obscenely tight! Given how tight the pants are across my hips and butt, as well as the way my lower belly pooches out, it's safe to say that I won't be wearing those pants for interviews anymore hahaha!

I'm currently working a bizarre schedule in which I am intermittently working in the office and from home. This is going to be interesting because every time I put on my work clothes, I'm 5 to 6 pounds fatter than the last time I wore them. My previously oversize jeans are starting to feel snug around my thighs and waist. I wonder how much longer I'll be able to wear them before I'm forced to go shopping again. My shirts are also starting to feel tight.

I do love the way the heavy cream packs on the pounds. Thanks to being off the prednisone, the weight gain is subcutaneous this time around. I'm still shocked at how much softer I feel, and I LOVE how fat my upper arms are getting.

That's all I have for this week. I'll report-in again next week Friday. Have a great weekend, everyone. Happy gaining!

Awesome report :-) My wife just recently came off preds for a brief illness and gained another 15 pounds. Up to 330 now :-)
