NYC, NJ, CT area had more bbw clubs and parties going way back. Though some of those parties had different vibes based on those who attended. Some catered to the suburban soccer mom crowd and awkward FA who had a space where they could let their hair down.
Some were a mixed crowd yet completely wild and off the hook at times in Downtown Manhattan.
Some in the City and Newark were just wild, off the hook urban get in where you fit in crowds.
Evansville,IN..Philadelphia, PA have been named America's Fattest Cities at times along with some Southern ones may not be the best fit as the slower pace and smaller setting can be a turn off to some overall.
NYC is more bhm/bbw friendly than it is supersized and ultra-sized friendly when you factor in transportation, seating etc. though on the flip side offers a lot of services and conveniences, that's not always easy to get elsewhere. More hospitals, doctors, facilities that can deal with ultra sized individuals compared to the 1 hospital that has bariatric equipment on hold or waiting list etc. I've heard of cases where folks moved to NC/South Carolina etc and still had to come back to NYC for the specialist needed under their plan.
Easier to get deliveries to your door with shorter wait times, or same day or 2 hr window in some cases.
To avoid offending mods etc. I will say that if you're looking for sightings/opportunities from personal experience as I look back...I found myself in public housing or neighborhoods where the emphasis was getting thru the day, cleaning your plate and getting food on the table as priorities compared to those with Equinox, Soul-Cycle or gluten-free options around the corner.
